Buc, France – 3D PLUS, a leader in high-reliability electronic components for space applications, announces the selection of its CASPEX 4M Space Camera
Head to represent the Yvelines department at the 5th Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France. This prestigious event, held at the Élysée Palace on November 15-16, 2025, celebrates French craftsmanship, innovation, and industrial excellence.
The CASPEX 4M, designed and manufactured in Buc, is also the result of a successful collaboration with the Centre National d’Études Spatiales (CNES). This camera head has demonstrated its reliability in some of the most demanding space missions, including NASA’s Mars 2020 Perseverance rover, where it is part of the SuperCam instrument currently operating on the surface of Mars. Its flight heritage extends to missions such as NASA’s Mars Sample Return program and the DART mission (LICIACube’s LEIA Camera), as well as the OneWeb’s constellation where a cost optimized version is embedded in the Auriga Startracker.
Pierre-Eric Berthet, CEO of 3D PLUS, commented: ” 3D PLUS is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2025 and is proud to have designed and manufactured all of its products in France, in the Yvelines Department. The selection of CASPEX 4M for the Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France is a recognition of the expertise and dedication of our teams as well as the excellence of our scientific ecosystem. This achievement reflects our commitment to advancing space technology through collaboration with partners like CNES. We are proud to contribute to France’s leadership in space exploration and export business.”
