New universe infrared map by the SPHEREx space Telescope

New Universe Infrared Map by the SPHEREx Space Telescope

In late December, NASA released a groundbreaking cosmic map captured by the SPHEREx space telescope. This stunning infrared image combines 102 different colors to provide a detailed view of the sky.

Created from data collected between May and December 2025, the map highlights SPHEREx’s unique capabilities. By combining a wide field of view with high-resolution imagery, the telescope offers a new way to observe the universe.

This mission is more than a technical achievement; it is a scientific journey to understand the origins of everything. Researchers will use this data to study the moments immediately following the Big Bang. Over the next two years, the telescope is scheduled to complete three more full scans of the sky.

3D PLUS is proud to support this mission notably by deploying its innovative solutions: SDRAM, SRAM, NAND Flash, and its LVDS interfaces.
